SAN JOSE, CA (MARKET WIRE) Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS) today reported third quarter 2006 revenue of $366 million, an increase of 9 percent over the $337 million reported for the same period in 2005. On a GAAP basis, Cadence recognized net income of $42 million, or $0.14 per share on a diluted basis, in the third quarter of 2006, compared to $21 million, or $0.07 per share on a diluted basis, in the same period in 2005.
