Automatic Data Processing: ADP Brokerage Services Group Appoints New Managing Director of Global Relationship Management

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/23/2006 -- ADP Brokerage Services Group, a division of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP), announced today that Jeffrey Smith has joined ADP Brokerage Services Group as Managing Director of Global Relationship Management.

In this new role, Jeff will be responsible for coordinating significant global relationships that cross multiple lines of business. His goal will be to deepen and extend ADP Brokerage Group's stated mission of World Class service.

Jeff brings more than 30 years of operations and treasury management experience in the U.S. and international markets, including experience developing and supporting financial products, cross-border clearance, settlement and asset servicing activities. Previously, Jeff worked in leadership roles at Salomon Brothers and Daiwa Securities America, Inc. and most recently served as Managing Director of International Services and Products for the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

In addition, Jeff is a former member of the America's Central Securities Depositories Association (ACSDA) and the Securities Industry Association's (SIA) Operations Cross-Border Subcommittee. He was also the past president of both the Cashiers Association of Wall Street and the SIA's Securities Operations Division.
