FoodHawk.com was launched on November 7, 2005 in great measure to help Dr. Judy Hamlin, CEO and Founder, answer her own family's question: What do we want for dinner tonight and where can we find it? The librarian in Dr. Hamlin precipitated the need for a comprehensive, complete reference tool that would allow Central Texas consumers to make those ever important dining decisions.

"The more I thought about it, the more I was led to producing unique features such as on-screen menus, printable menus, and food search pages that would seamlessly provide diners with specific menu items they requested," said Dr. Hamlin. "I designed restaurant listing pages that not only include detailed information on food, ambiance and interesting facts, but also include links to online reservations and delivery services. I'm pleased with how FoodHawk.com minimizes a user's time spent searching for information, and to include everything possible in one place."

Dr. Hamlin's plan is succeeding in rapid fashion. Thousands of Central Texans count on the site to help them make dining decisions and hundreds of restaurants and food resources count on the site to reach those diners. Even Google now references FoodHawk.com in answers to restaurant and food resource queries.

Plans for the site are to launch in other Texas cities, beginning with Dallas in late 2006, then go outside the state in 2007. Meanwhile FoodHawk.com continues to respond to its restaurant and dining customers by adding even more helpful information including health oriented sections such as Gluten Free Dining, general information such as Holiday Openings and Live Music Venues, as well as sections on restaurant Awards and Recognitions, and Ratings which will debut in the near future.

FoodHawk.com, which began with a crew of three, now has seven Little Hawks, who are involved in sales, research, writing and data entry.
