LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/28/2006 -- Matt Mahaffey (formerly of sElf) and Jeff Turzo (formerly of God Lives Underwater) have joined forces as WIRED ALL WRONG, a perfect musical blend that entices and captivates upon the very first beat. With the group's debut album, "Break Out The Battle Tapes," released on September 12th through Nitrus Records, the band continues to receive impressive TV, radio and movie soundtrack attention.
In next week's CBS hit series "CSI Miami," the song "Elevatin'" from WAW's debut will be prominently featured. In addition, radio is heating up with two singles from the album, "Elevatin'" and "Nothing At All," receiving massive radio exposure. Stations such as LA hipster Indie 103.1, DC's WHFS, and WEQX in Albany can't get enough of the band's groovin' beats. In addition "Elevatin'," has been chosen to appear in the new Warren Miller film, "Off The Grid," set for release in late Winter.
WIRED ALL WRONG will make their live debut next weekend at the LA Weekly sponsored Detour Fest in Los Angeles.
Separately, Mahaffey and Turzo have made quite a mark for themselves through their individual production work. Turzo was the man behind Paul Oakenfold's "Ready, Steady, Go!" and has had a hand in remixing for artists such as Rob Zombie, Bloodhound Gang, Lord of Acid, Korn and Smashmouth. Mahaffey has lent his production skills to everyone from Beyonce to Phantom Planet -- in addition to his other part-time job, as touring guitarist for Beck.
Whether making music together for their debut album or using their stellar production skills on the highly successful Hellogoodbye release "Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!" the team of Mahaffey and Turzo are set to rock your world.
