The Saganaga gold project, located 120 kilometres west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, is host to multiple gold showings. Many of these occurrences have returned highly favourable historical gold results, including diamond drill hole 88-12 which intersected 31 grams per tonne over 5.9 metres in the Powell Zone. Trenching on the Starr Zone in the area of the new geophysical anomaly returned assays of 17.2 grams per tonne gold over 7 metres from channel sampling. Historical shallow diamond drilling from this area also returned intervals of 5.27 grams per tonne over 10.1 metres and by 5.58 grams per tonne over 6.4 metres in hole 97-12.
Teck Cominco has the exclusive right to earn up to a 70% interest in the Saganaga gold project by spending $8,000,000 by July 15, 2012, and making certain investments in Benton over the duration of the agreement.
