Cartesis Inc.: Cartesis' 41 Percent Growth Highlighted in a New Worldwide BPM Market Report

Mon, 2 Oct 2006 6:00:00 PDT

NORWALK, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/02/2006 -- In an IDC report released this week, Cartesis has taken an accelerated position in the Worldwide Business Performance Management (BPM) 2006-2010 Forecast. Cartesis' 41.4 percent revenue growth in 2005 was more than four times that of most other leading vendors in the report and over three times that of the overall BPM market.

The IDC report highlights the Cartesis 2005 acquisitions of INEA and AIS, integrated benchmarking through initiatives with EDGAR Online, and a strong relationship with Microsoft. The introduction of Cartesis 10, a comprehensive BPM suite which integrates these acquisitions, is the main driver for the company's impressive growth rate. Citing revenue growth that exceeded the market average, the report also regarded Cartesis as well-positioned in the BPM market, delivering solutions based upon a focus on finance.

"Cartesis has made several moves in the past year to expand its offerings through acquisitions and has remained focused and committed to the successful integration of those products," said Kathleen Wilhide, research director, Compliance and BPM solutions at IDC, who authored the report. "The launch of Cartesis 10, and innovative moves such as its partnership with EDGAR Online based upon XBRL make Cartesis a serious contender in the BPM market."

IDC also projects an 11.2 percent 2005-2010 compound annual growth rate for the BPM market, as compliance and expanded performance management requirements continue to drive initiatives in finance and information transformation, accelerating investment in BPM solutions. IDC sees the BPM market poised to move from measuring performance to managing performance and believes the lines will blur between the transactional environment, BI environment and analytic applications. Organizations are looking for ways to integrate analytic applications with day-to-day operational processes.

Introduced in April 2006, Cartesis 10 is the first business performance management (BPM) solution to leverage XBRL to integrate internal and external financial data for publication, benchmarking and M&A planning. The Cartesis 10 suite unifies financial consolidation, management reporting, planning, forecasting and budgeting, and analytics to give companies a clear view of their historical, current and future business performance. The suite consists of Cartesis Finance, Cartesis Planning and Cartesis Analytics.

"Providing valuable finance and performance management solutions takes focus and expertise," says Didier Benchimol, CEO of Cartesis. "No one better understands the needs of the CFO office in large, complex organizations. By expanding the solution set and demonstrating that focus, Cartesis is gaining BPM market share."

The report is based on IDC's evaluation of multiple aspects of the largest BPM vendors to collectively evaluate their activities, position, and potential in the Worldwide BPM market.
