TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/18/2006 -- Union Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE: UN) announces the resignation of Penelope M. Roberts as the Company's Corporate Secretary and the appointment of Sigrid I. Ades as its newly appointed Corporate Secretary. The change is effective as of September 8, 2006. Union Gold Inc. would like to thank Penelope M. Roberts for her 10 years of service and wish her well in her retirement.

Union Gold Inc. further announces the resignation of director Jason Tomkinson and the appointment of Grant V. Ohman as director, effective September 18, 2006.
