TORONTO, ONTARIO (MARKET WIRE) Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: CAR.UN)("CAP REIT") announced today its September 2006 monthly distribution in the amount of $0.09 per Unit. The September distribution will be payable on October 15,2006 to Unitholders of record on September 30, 2006.
